Kayla

Hello! I’m Kayla, the Core Facilitator at Carmel Valley, and I’ve been part of the Dot to Dot family since 2022. I started as the Buds Educator while completing my Master’s Degree in Inspired Teaching for Elementary. I found a school that deeply aligns with my values—embracing the philosophy of learning alongside children, viewing the world through their lens, and weaving in meaningful curriculum concepts as we explore together. After another wonderful year in the Stems A classroom, I felt ready to take on more responsibility in a supportive role for both the children and my fellow educators.

In my current role as Core Facilitator, it’s an honor to foster growth and creativity within our community. I’m passionate about nurturing not only the children’s experiences but also supporting our educators as they guide these young learners.

Outside of work, I’m a proud cat mom to two beautiful, dilute cats, Mae and Nala. I moved to San Diego about three years ago and am so happy to call this vibrant city my home. I’m a dedicated San Diego Chargers supporter—Go Bolts! When I’m not cheering for the team, you can find me relaxing at home with a documentary or exploring the city’s many hidden gems, from restaurants and museums to beach days.

I’m grateful to be a part of the Carmel Valley Team, and I’ll always be here with a smile and a warm welcome as you walk through our doors!
